SHORT SYNOPSIS OF CHARLIE’S GIRL
Since the age of two, Rosalind
Matthews has grown up in foster homes in Arizona following the death of her
parents in an automobile crash north of Phoenix. Now she’s age fourteen, and her
grandmother, Grace Matthews has sent for her to come live with her in the small
town of Grayson, South Carolina. Rosalind has no idea what she will find when
she arrives, but knows it has to be better than what she has been used to.
Grace has spent most of Rosalind’s fourteen
years dealing with her own difficulties. The loss of her son, Charlie, and her
husband, Sam, on the same day, drove her into a life barely tethered to
reality. Bringing Rosalind to live with her now is more than a family duty. She
hopes it’s a chance to reclaim the joy she lost with her beloved son.
